Taqueria El Jalapeño - Authentic Mexican Flavors & Fresh Breakfast in Kyle, TX

The first thing they did was bring us some salsa, chips, and refried beans to get us started. The salsa and beans were a really nice, unexpected treat for breakfast time. The plates are prepared fresh, and everything had good flavor. I ordered the mimi tacos with barbacoa, and the cheese enchiladas had a creamy sauce that had a tasty queso flavor. Both the green and red sauce have really good flavor. The service was also good and the place was clean. Didn't get to try any flour tortillas. Maybe next time. Overall, for a quick pitstop, it was really good, and we will most likely come again.

For one, this is a Taqueria. Please, understand what you are walking into. I had the Flauta plate, Beef enchilada plate, and Birria taco plate. Absolutely everything I expected. Food was great, service was great. Just a well rounded Taqueria. Totally on my top 5 list. Thanks Taqueria el Jalapeño. I appreciate you!

Had lunch here for the first time. The waiter was absolutely awesome. He was so helpful when ordering and when my grandson was having a tantrum. The menudo was a 7/10. Salsa was a 5/10 (good on spicy but was too tomato-y for me). Guisada was really good and tender. I absolutely LOVED the homemade Tortillas. I'm not sure I would return for lunch/dinner but I definitely want to return to try their breakfast tacos. The kids menu was not really a kids menu. I ordered a quesadilla for my 1.5 year old grandson and it was so much food. It came with rice and beans.

The food was seriously amazing. Plus, the customer service was great. It's authentic and so delicious.

Santiago took excellent care of us! As others have said, it’s a taqueria. Very casual, smallish for dine in but spotless and smelled yummy. We had dinner: 3 Birrias which were very flavorful and the meat tender-could drink the dipping sauce ALONE! Big Quesadilla is BIG, scrumptious and the tortillas were thinner than I’ve ever had yet very flavorful. Will definitely take advantage of the drive thru! So glad we found this gem in old Kyle.

Has such a great experience at this place, I was tired of trying big franchises food chains and wanted something homie and enjoyable, had great experience the service was also 5 star was treated with care and love and super clean im surprised this place was not packed.

1st time here, my hubby and I have always wanted to try. We stopped by Saturday morning. Not bad, great tacos, homemade tortillas. Chips n salsa yummy. Barbacoa taco was yummy! Cute lil spot!

Absolutely amazing experience! And we went through the drive-thru. They serve breakfast until 1:00 p.m. which is so rare. I got the huevos rancheros and it came with bacon, potatoes, beans and beautiful over easy eggs. The tortillas were definitely homemade! My husband got a large menudo which comes with cilantro, onion and lime and a barbacoa Taco on flower tortilla. That was amazing! They also have red and green sauce. The red is delicious. The green is a bit hot but not too bad. And the gentleman serving us was so kind. You could tell the food was being made fresh. So please do not go thinking you're going to be out of there in 3 to 5 minutes. It took us about 10 minutes for our order but it was piping hot. Let's keep this place alive and popular. This place is a gem!
